The Journal of the College of Education for Women participated in the virtual announcement of the 2025 annual report results of the Arab Impact Factor and Citation Index (ARCIF), held via Zoom, with the involvement of the journal’s website administrator, Assistant Lecturer Hareer Amer Ahmed.

The journal achieved a remarkable milestone by securing the 14th position among the top 15 Arab journals in the interdisciplinary field of Arts and Humanities, out of a total of 252 participating Arab journals. This accomplishment marks a significant step in the journal’s journey toward excellence and scientific leadership.

This achievement is the result of the support and guidance of the Dean of the College of Education for Women, Professor Dr. Athmar Shaker Majid Al-Shatari, who has been committed to elevating the status of the college and its scientific journal through a comprehensive development plan aimed at inclusion in regional and international indexing databases and enhancing its research and editorial standards.

A key contributor to this progress was Assistant Professor Dr. Athraa Abdul Hussein Nasser, Editor-in-Chief and Chair of the Development Committee, whose direct supervision of academic publishing standards and editorial planning updates aligned with ARCIF requirements. Her efforts were carried out in close coordination with Professor Dr. Adnan Yassin, Editor-in-Chief of the journal.

This distinction adds a new achievement to the record of the College of Education for Women at the University of Baghdad, reinforcing its pioneering role in supporting scientific research and advancing academic rankings both regionally and internationally.

This activity supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
